In 1904 the first Psilocybe cubensis was found in the wild by F.S. Earle. It was at the time a new specie (for the western man) and it was named Stropharia cubensis. At a later moment this name would be changed into Psilocybe cubensis. After the discovery of this new specie, it was quickly found and recognized all over the world, so they introduced names for all the different strains. In this case the Stropharia cubensis has been named the Psilocybe cubensis “Cuba”.

If it comes to the cultivation of this strain, it’s all a little better then average. The mycelium of this strain grows very very fast and is extremely rhizomorphic, which makes this strain in potential a massive yielder.
