This specie is not that much spread around the world. It’s a bit picky about its habitat. In nature it has been found on Hawaii, central Africa and Cambodia. At these places it grows mostly on dung of wild animals, but it will accept standard cow dung without any problems. This specie fruits abnormal easily. Even without ideal circumstances this specie will form a sea of mushrooms. The spores from this specie are purple to black colored. This is one of our favorites if it comes to exotic mushroom species, mainly because of its easy fruiting abilities.
