This strain of the Panaeolus cyanescens family comes from the exotic island Jamaica. The circumstances on this island are perfect for this mushroom which loves the warmth. This strain seems to do very well in circumstances which are not ideal. This makes this strain a popular strain amongst amateurmycologists. The Panaeolus cyanescens is a very popular mushroom. It’s a mushroom which can become very tall, up to 25 centimeter, with a very thin stem. De heads are pretty small with a maximum of 4 centimeter. The Panaeolus cyanescens is grey of color. Mostly they come up in massive amounts all at once, which makes an impressive sea of grey mushroom heads. All strains of the Panaeolus cyanescens grow best on a dung-based substrate. As spawn rye can be used. The cultivation of the Panaeolus cyanescens needs a bit more attention then the Psilocybe cubensis. It’s more sensitive to the right levels of fresh air, humidity and temperature. The fast growing mycelium of this specie does not colonize the substrate as heavily as the Psilocybe cubensis mushroom.
