In WWI, powerful alcohol extract of Nymphaea alba was successfully used as an anesthetic when the traditional opiate anesthetic wasn't available. It is closely related to Nymphaea Caerulea (Blue Lotus), which was worshipped as a visionary plant and was a symbol for the origins of life. White Lotus has extremely similar alkaloid content as Blue Lotus, but because it is in less demand and less colorful, we can offer it as a less expensive, but extremely popular alternative.
