  Shamanic Extracts :: Lagochilus Inebrians

  Lagochilus Inebrians #16288
Lagochilus Inebrians
Lagochilus inebrians the Uzbekistan Mint or Intoxicating Mint must be one of our rarest and most sought out entheogens. The main reason for Lagochilus inebrians rarity within the ethnobotanical community is due to the fact that its now extremly rare in its native habitat and is only found growing in very rural and inhospitable mountainous areas.

Shamanic Extracts import Lagochilus inebrians directly from Uzbekistan. Traditionally certain mountainous tribes-people used to make a tea from this herb for its unique sedative and intoxicating properties.

The scientific name, Lagochilus inebrians comes from the Greek “Lagos” which means a hair and “Cheilos” which means a lip. “Inebrians” means intoxicating.

High doses can be quite intoxicating as its common name suggests. The active ingredient is called Lagochilin which is prized for its sedative and medicinal properties. In smaller doses it is used to treat medical problems such as hypertonic illness, diathesis, glaucoma, stomach ulcer and duodenal gut problems. Traditionally to treat such ailments, 10gm of dried plant material are ground up and added to 200ml of boiling water for about 10 minutes. It is then allowed to cool at room temperature and strained. One to two tablespoons of the liquid are drunk 3 to 5 times daily.

The plant produces higher concentrations of Lagochilin when it is flowering and this is the best time to harvest, usually occurring between June & September.

This is a very unique and rare plant, and we are privileged to be able to offer good quality material to our customers. We are not sure how long stocks will last as it is very seasonal, so don’t miss this opportunity to add this to your entheogen collection.
