Psilocybe mexicana jalisco #16381

The Jalisco strain of the Psilocybe mexicana was collected from wild specimens located between Guadalajara and Talpa, but the exact place is unknown. It is thought only to be a few miles west of Guadalajara. This is the sacred 'Teonanacatl' or 'God's Flesh' in the Aztec language. Rediscovered by Roger Heim in 1956 and used by Dr. Albert Hoffman in he first isolation of psilocybin and psilocin. The Jalico is 40-125 mm. long and 1-3 mm. wide. It has an equal thickness all the way down. Other marks: partial viel, thinly fibrilose, whitish, leaving fibrillose veil remnants on the upper regions of the stem. The cap is about 3 -5 cm broad. The flesh is brown to deep brown and dries to a more yellowy tone. The grow time is 3 - 5 weeks before overrun the growing substrate. The Jalisco grows faster when substrate is innoculated. Because these shrooms are small, there can be many flushes in one grow bag; depending on the growing conditions. Temperature during kolonization: 27 - 30 C. Temperature during growing: 22 - 27 C.
